Nightly Reading Program Information

Students are bringing home a reading log with their Independent Reading level on the top.  Please note that these are approximate until I have read with all students and determined whether this needs to be adjusted.  You may find that this level seems low, but it is supposed to be easy for the student to read independently.  If you are reading with your child they can read a higher level, but may need some support.  Students do not have to read a book from the cart at school.  They can read a book from home if they would like.  It is his/her responsibility to switch books at the cart when needed.  Reading logs/ziploc bags should be brought to school every day with a parent signature.  Please help me to encourage and promote a love of reading in your child.
